Script Synopsis

In a small Swedish village before electricity and plumbing, an old woman, Ingrid desperately wants her youth back.  Her jealousy of her young daughter, Marta has twisted her heart.  One day a strange man comes to town with a promise to return Ingrid’s youth. In repayment, she will become his bride on her happiest day. Ingrid agrees.  Marta’s losses are immediate.  While Ingrid enjoys a world she only dreamt of; Marta’s turns into despair.  Will Marta ever find happiness?  Will Ingrid’s physical appearance eventually be replaced show to the dark heart she always carried?
