A Musical delight for the entire family
A MIDSUMMER NIGHT
SCRIPT SYNOPSIS
Set amid the opulence and social upheaval of Gilded Age New York City, A Midsummer Night unfolds in a world where high society balls, industrial tycoons, and bohemian artists collide.
As Manhattan’s elite prepare for the lavish wedding of Theo, a powerful railroad magnate, and Polly, a European heiress. Young lovers from rival families—Mia and Alexander, Lena and Frederick—flee uptown into the sprawling and mysterious Central Park, seeking freedom from the rigid expectations of high society.
But the park hides secrets: it’s the domain of Oberon and Titania, the feuding king and queen of the city’s hidden magical underworld—a world filled with whimsical fae, ragtime-playing sprites, and mischievous spirits like Puck, who stirs chaos with a love potion gone wrong.
Meanwhile, a troupe of earnest but bumbling immigrant laborers—led by the overly ambitious Nick, a cigar roller with Broadway dreams—rehearse a play to perform at the wedding, only to find themselves entangled in the magical mischief.
In a night of confusion, enchantment, and transformation, class lines blur, affections shift, and love finds its true course—just in time for dawn to rise over the shimmering skyline of Gilded Age New York.
